Sadalbari

$9,000.00

( 14.5" L x 14” W x 22" H)

My StarSentient® sculpture SADALBARI, is just the second sculpture that I have made to sit on a pedestal or tabletop. It is made with a base of broad, multi-fingered design in scarlet-yellow uranium glass, with a uranium glass sphere centrally mounted upon a nodal rod. It “turns on” into a brilliant, bright green color unique to uranium glass that congruently complements it’s ancient name’s meaning, when exposed to UV light. This activation of glowing green permeates permeates the center of the piece and spreads into the other elements.

SADALBARI is named after the star of the same name, a red-orange giant with a luminosity brightness (luminosity) figure over 59 times our Sun (which has 1.0 luminosity) and two and half times larger. It lies within the massive Pegasus constellation “very close” at 113 light-year approximately from our system. Sadalbari appears so bright in part because it’s light combines with that coming from a star much deeper in space “behind” it that is of a similar type and very close to it.

The name, Sadalbari, comes from the medieval Arabic astronomy meaning, “The Lucky Star of the Splendid One.” and preserved and in science through ancient Persian science written tradition. Other mythic or cultural references are unknown.
